Holiday Club Excitement

Believe it or not we are now only 3 weeks away from the next school holiday!! For working parents this is sometimes a huge worry as it brings childcare concerns. Here at Chunky Monkeys we want to take that worry away with our fantastic holiday club!!
For the Whitsun half term holiday our theme will be 'Beach Fun'. Everyday weather permitting we will be going on a beach visit as we are so fortunate to be close to some fantastic coast line.

Spring has Sprung at Chunky Monkeys

Spring has sprung at Chunky Monkeys and we have been enjoying lots more time in the garden and park with the start of some brighter days.
We have started to plan the garden as we think we can finally say goodbye to frosty nights. Hannah ( unofficial head gardener nursery nurse) has put her order in for her bulbs and vegetables and the children have been helping her with the weeding.

Big thank you to Farmer Rory for visiting us here at Chunky Monkeys Day Nursery. Staff and children had an amazing day learning all about Farmer Rory's farm and his animals. We were lucky enough to feed a sheep and her lamb, ride in Farmer Rory's tractor, play with an adorable puppy sheepdog and listen to lots of wonderful farm tales.

We all look forward to your next visit Farmer Rory!

Hug Day

Hug Day = 21st Jan There’s nothing more reassuring than a comforting cuddle; National Hugging Day encourages you to embrace hugging, and to give those you care about a comforting squeeze. Lovely! The key learning objective for this celebration will be to teach children how to be kind and caring towards others. A Hug A Day Keeps The Doctor Away!

Dydd santes dwynwen hapus

Love is certainly in the air this week here at Chunky Monkeys Day Nursery Even Winston & Dorris have caught the love bug!

Our children have been extremely busy all week making special gifts for their loved ones in order to celebrate St. Dwynwen’s Day – the Welsh Patron Saint of friendship and love.

Our Igloo

The staff and children at Chunky Monkeys Day Nursery would like to thank all those who kindly helped us collect 500 plastic milk bottles in order to construct our very own igloo.

After, 2 glue-guns, 10 packs of glue sticks, 3 bottles of sterilising solution, 2 bottles of washing up liquid, and many many man hours …………. our IGLOO is finally complete.
